About the Artist

My name is Marla Summers and I live in central Indiana with my best friend, a Shetland Sheepdog named Flair. I have been drawing for as long as I can remember, but I didn't totally realize my talent for art until middle school. This past year, I took my first art class with Shirley Luttrell, who teaches a variety of mediums in Zionsville and Lebanon. I specialize in animals, domestic or wild, and my new favorite media is definitely graphite and ebony pencils. I am currently a junior at Zionsville High School, where I am also taking Drawing II, and hope to go on to a Christian college with hopes of pursuing cross-cultural ministry. I currently am open for local commissions. If you are interested, please send me a message at the contact page on the right!
